What kind of fitting to put on brand new water connection

Hi all

 

Ive got Severn Trent coming to inspect my water pipe soon, theyve told me to put a stop tap on the end inside the house, but im not sure what kind of thing to put on as i need to be able to tee off from the pipe for the feeds throughout the house and still be able to stop the flow as and when needed

 

Can anyone point me in the right diretion as to what im looking for?

They've changed recently. Will now accept an end cap both inside and outside. Saves messing about with plumbing fittings if you're not confident like me.

thanks mate, im pretty sure it says i can cap the end at the road but to put a stop tap on in the house, if i dont put some kind of tap on in the house ill never be able to connect to it without freezing the pipe or something anyway lol

No you have a stop tap externally where the meter is too

doh! of course, they did say something about fitting that in the pathway - ive got so much on my mind i forgot

We used an MDPE stopcock. Toleration or Screwfix have them.
