Hello. Extension building new member

Hi, just joined and hoping to pick brains when building regs/google/youtube just don't give a clear answer. We're self-building an extension to a circa 1870 detached house on a ridiculously steep Sheffield. Just at the stage of digging foundations, and crossing fingers for an 'Indian summer'.
