We are self-building/managing an MBC Passivhaus near Norwich, just starting plaster-boarding. We are aiming for Passivhaus Certification. Our first MBC air-test was okay, 0.47ach, despite (and it seems others of you have a despite) there being a couple of areas where air-tightness could have been better. Having remedied these areas, and been diligent about sealing penetrations, I'd anticipated an improved result, however our recent second air-test wasn't to the required Passivhaus standard of 0.6ach. We checked what we could with a smoke pen, but couldn't find anything significant. Has anyone had similar circumstances, and did they manage to discover why? I'm applying additional taping to window reveal corners, in the hope that this is enough. thanks in anticipation.

I need to do an air test on one leg of my UFH as the timber frame installer decided to drill in a doorway when fitting the internal wall soleplate. The question is will an air test work to find if there is a leak now the pipe has been encased in concrete for over 12 months or will it be better to do a wet test to see if a wet patch develops? Hope this is not to silly a question!

Just had the air test done and we achieved 0.6ach. This is with a temp front door albeit sealed as best we could and the Internorm sliding doors leaking like a sieve. We have one large set that did not leak at all and the two sliders joined together where atrocious. We are obviously very pleased with this result and hope to improve on that as we need to do another one at the end.

About to do airtightness test on our site near Exeter, google provides a number of testers? Anyone recommended in that area? regards James
