  1. 6K! That's very good. All my quotes so far are more than that just for the cabinets let alone appliances/worktops....
  2. Ah OK, yes they were all 3 in 1 taps. So If it's a separate one no problem, but if I want a 3 in 1 then need something like the Quooker combi that does it from the cold water mains supply. Excellent many thanks!
  3. I was chatting to a kitchen place today and when we discussed having a boiling water tap he said if I have a gravity fed system (which I do) then most of the taps on the market won't work properly as the normal hot water tap will just dribble out, or at least not be good enough. I forget the name of the one he said would work, but he basically said that was the only one which would work properly and everything else wouldn't. None of the other kitchen places I've spoken to have said this to me, albeit I can't recall whether they asked me about my water pressure, so I was a bit surprised so wanted to ask people's views and see whether any of you have had issues?
  4. Hi Cauk - that's good to know re your experience with Schueller, I might see if there is someone local to me who deal with them. Currently most of the german kitchen suppliers near me have Hacker and Nobilia so will add to the list.
  5. ?? I'll be leggin it out of there if they do. In all seriousness tho I don't think they are dodgy, I think they might even be which recommended... it's more whether the product is decent enough for the cost. It's always more difficult to tell when it's an independent sourcing their own cabinets and doors from a manufacturer rather than retailing a specific brand.
  6. Ugh that doesn't sound good.... Having said that I might be mistaken on who they use for their cabinets, so may just ask them outright. Worst they can do is say they won't tell me. I'm 100% sure the doors are from trade moulding though.
  7. Hi Just wondered if anyone had come across these suppliers before and had any views on their quality? An independent kitchen company near me appears to be using these for their kitchens. Many thanks https://www.prolinecabs.co.uk/ https://www.trademouldings.com/
  8. Has anyone had a Blanco 3 in 1 boiling water tap installed / got any views on how it compares to Quooker?
  9. Apologies, just jumping onto this as have recently had a couple of independent kitchen suppliers recommend Nobilia as a good value entry level german kitchen. In particular mentioning a recent change to their system for purchasing (block system??). Appreciate 'good value' can be very subjective but does anyone have an idea of where you would expect their prices to land compared to an equivalent kitchen from say a howdens/magnet? Thanks
  10. Together with a friend who did his in his current and previous house is the plan currently.
  11. Ah thanks for the heads up - I may need to pick their brains as I'm finding the world of kitchens a particularly difficult one to navigate, either that or I've spent too much time researching online during lockdown and I've lost the plot with it all!
  12. Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. Bought my 1930's house a couple of years ago and whilst I had no intention of doing any renovation work, seem to have managed to rip out the bathroom, front garden and driveway and now moving onto the murky world of kitchens so thought it would be useful to join the forum for any useful advice.
