  1. I am looking for some good quality 'ladder' style internal doors. They will be white and I will consider either primed or finished but want something substantial such as those with solid or semi-solid construction (around 25kg?). I have found the JB Kind and the XL Joinery versions. Are there any other manufacturers I should be looking at? Thanks
  2. What regulations cover electrical installations in wc’s, ie a room with toilet and sink but no shower or bath? I understand that the bathroom zones do not apply so are there any other restrictions such as IP rated fixture requirements or limitations on socket locations? Thanks.
  3. A number of people commented in this thread about putting PV panels in trays as its cheaper than roof tiles. I am not sure about this argument. The mounting trays alone cost the equivalent of over £60/m without fitting. That's a lot more than roof tiles. In fact a mounting tray is now only slightly cheaper than the PV panel that it holds. I was planning to fit the trays now and then add the panels at a later date but I cant justify the cost of the trays. Its cheaper to fit tiles and then use mounting brackets. Of course the trays look nicer! Has anyone else done the calculations?
  4. Thanks for the ideas for an inline inlet filter. How about the condensation? How do you stop moisture running down from a roof vent?
  5. I am also considering these Ubbink for my 150mm inlet and exhaust. Since they will be through the roof how do you cope with 1. Access for cleaning the inlet grill? Do you fit some internal filter? 2. Making the ducting slope downwards to allow condensation to run out? Is there another way to stop moisture running back into the MVHR unit? I cant see how either of these 'best practice' design features can be achieved with roof vents. Additionally, does anyone have experience of these Ubbink cowls in very windy locations? Thanks
