  1. I'd prefer the micro inverters. Less DC wiring and some very good efficiencies. You also get MPPT per panel.
  2. Just looked at this website and I'm impressed with their stuff. Obviously haven't got into the technical end yet but the facility to customise your fitting and get a specification sheet is great. I'm an M&E consultant and specify lighting regularly and I've got plenty of use for a nice handy website like that. I'll have to get some samples from them!
  3. Does it need to be? As long as it meets the structural engineers calculations it should be fine.
  4. Thanks, I'll get a read of it later and come back with comments.
  5. Are large scale PV solar farms still viable in the UK? To meet our 2020 goals and to reduce our carbon footprint generally, are these still viable? The payments have been cut, but do the developers of these still get paid for generation and export on top of that? The income is severely reduced compared to previously but this must still be financially viable? I'm more interested in the long term benefits of reduced carbon emissions etc but to interest anyone in it, it needs to be financially viable. What are your thoughts?
  6. Thanks guys, good to be back!
  7. Great to have this place up and running, missed the old place. Hope we can continue on and have a great forum and place full of interesting discussions and information. I'm another from co.down NI.
