  1. This shows slope of driveway bit better though not a great pic. Problem dealing with slope. is downwards towards doors. My main concern was obviously I k ow its going above dpc. But if its kept 150mm below dpc this makes the slope deeper again at door. Before at front it was just covered in pebbles. Other concern was no end caps on each end of acro drain, but being told that's ok as its sitting against solid paving stone?
  2. Correct
  3. 5m from my boundary
  4. Hi conor The driveway is permeable concrete and will have a resin top which is permeable to allow water to drain. The aco drain was put in there as measure because the driveway has a slope towards the door. The flow out of the driveway isn't good onto the road because say road is straight but there is then slope down to my front door at a slight angle. I will speak to them about the aco drains at the front, I take it they will need to be 150mm below dpc as well if they are put where the bricks are? So no caps on the end of channel is fine? I threw water into them to test drainage and along the ends water flowed out onto the bricks, but in the middle it drained down the pipe towards soakaway
  5. I'm having a new resin driveway installed. The brick borders are going up quite high to the plinth level of front of house. Should the brick borders be further below 150mm for dpc purposes? Does the plinth I have offer any protection for damp? Also the acro drain is there as I have a slope on the driveway going down slightly to the front door, hence the aco is there. They connected it to a soakaway in the middle of drive. Would you say aco drain is positioned in driveway correctly or should it be nearer door? Also lastly I opened the aco drain cover and neither sides have end caps, is this a issue even when having a resin driveway installed? I can probably get changes made as resin has not been laid yet...
  6. Yea seems like the design. Spoke to them also and they seem to say the installer didn't use enough silicone in the channels. Dramas or what.
  7. This is all that was supplied. No rubber seals
  8. There was no rubber seals supplied by manufacturer. I called them also to ask they said its fitted with silicone which doesn't help
  9. I don't think there is any rubber strip seal that was installed by the plumbers. I dotn think one was supplied.
  10. I've removed the silicone around the whole inside of the tray horizontally and vertically now. Still getting water seeping through the glass, any ideas?
  11. Strange that is how i have the glass sealed up on opposite end and that has no issues. So your saying remove all the silicone around channel frame on the inside of the frame? The silicone going up along the tile wall and along all the bottom of the tray?
  12. Where the red circle is where the leaks occurs, it seems water enters this area where the glass meets the channel frame. It's not happening where the channel frame meets the tile that's fine. What's the fix here? I cant take the glass out. The installers fitted the channel frame using ct1 and screws. They also put silicone inside the channel frame and pushed the glass into it.
  13. It's driving me nuts. Had a shower screen installed. The shower glass has water seeping through. It's not seeping from the tile and behind the channel, it seems to be seeping from where the glass meets the channel towards the middle of the wall. I had a profession silicone guy come and seal the whole shower also. Why is water coming out from a gap in the shower screen and channel frame? Btw I have the same glass installed on the other side and don't have issue.
  14. I'm looking to sell house to a devloper, a uncompleted project. He noticed from plans the neigbiurs fence is encroaching into my property. Neighbour won't move it or change it. So can house still be sold if boundaries are not correct according to title plans etc... Devloper still wants to buy it but doesn't make clear what he expects me to do. So what are my options, as I don't want this to drag out and get into a dispute etc with neighbours especially if I continue to live there..
  15. I had planning for a extension which included changing the windows and colour. The windows were changed to anthracite. I have stopped extension works and won't be continuing with that and am reverting back to original. Does that mean I need to change my windows back to how they were original white colour?
  16. I'm being told by the private building control company that this is a admendment and I need to submit a application. Does this sound correct. I'm out of my wits end, and don't want to break any rules.
  17. The existing manhole finishes in hallway. It's a private drain. Can I extend it out to the bathroom to pick up the foul on wc. Then also extend it out past lounge to garden to create a new IC for rodding. Can I also add the svp here in garden? As room on the boundary wall to left is very limited
  18. To reinstate the wall BC have asked existing foundations removed and replaced with 1m new foundations, then wall can be rebuilt along that side of the house.
  19. Yea I don't have funds, run low. Also I can't do the extension because the drainage route doesn't work, I can't get no inspection chambers on etc. I don't wish to continue the works, and never will. I have full planning but want to put the house back to how it was, and not continue with extension works. The rest of house house internally has been gutted so I'm keen just to get it back to how it was.
  20. I have planning permission for a side extension. I have commenced work and foundations have been laid and steel work put in. However due to issues and finances I want to stop the extension and put the house back to how it was. I won't be doing the extension, so am I allowed to do this, do I have to inform planning? Will they allow me to do this?
  21. On the side of extension I don't have access as it's up to boundary wall. But I wanted to put a IC in garden and connect main drain straight to front. Issue I got is I will need y junctions for kitchen and bathroom but don't have the access outside on the side extension for rodding eyes
  22. Can the rodding eye be inside the bathroom or kitchen. I don't have space on the side access
  23. From the invert to ground level I got 390mm, and the drain needs to run a 10m distance. I take it this can't be done?
  24. Some.internal stud work. A se designed it, but thr previous builders put it in wrong place, and on one end it's on a non load bearing wall. I got a new se coming on site to have a look and offer some guidance.
