My Aeromax ASHP has stopped working again. It seems to be showing an error of code 18 as it flashes once and then 8 flashes which says G-Tr inverter circuit protection. About 2 years ago I had to change the heating pump due low flow error and the symptoms seem to be the same as the pump starts then stops and the error then starts but I think a pump should last more than 2 years? Any help would be much appreciated

Is this the sensor that could be causing the issue?

Dear All, After your help again and you were a great help last month. My Kingspan Aeromax ASHP has developed another fault, this time with fault code 9 flashing on the box. In the manual this says it’s a flow switch error/pump problem. I’ve looked on other threads on this forum and someone else said they changed the flow switch which fixed the problem. Can anyone tell me where the flow switch is located inside the ASHP unit if it is inside and also if anyone has any other suggestions on how to fix it other than getting a compete new system as this one is really p!ssing me off now! The system is about 8-9 years old now so I guess things will start to go wrong with it. For info when I switch the system off/on at the isolator it seems to clear the problem but then an hour or so later it comes back. thanks again

I changed the solenoid as I had a spare unit for parts and it fixed the issue. PeterW I could kiss you!!!!

Bit of an update. I noticed that when the fans kick in on the ASHP unit they are blowing hot air not the usual ice cold air! Seems that everything has started going arse about face for no apparent reason. Any suggestions welcome ?

Well nobody has touched the system and it’s been fine so can’t see why it would all of a sudden start doing it unless there’s a technical issue?

I’m new to this forum and any help would be most appreciated. I’ve got a 8 year old Kingspan Aeromax ASHP which provides hot water and central heating via radiators with no underfloor heating. The system has stopped producing hot water/central heating. Initially I thought it might be an air lock or blockage as the unit starts up fine, the central heating pump kicks in but no heat coming from the rads. I bled the radiators and cleaned out the large brass in-line filter near the pump but still with no joy. The really strange thing is that instead of the rads heating they get ice cold, so much so that condensation appears on them and the pipes. It seems as if the system is working in reverse by cooling and not heating?!! An error message did appear once on the panel which was code 15 which is exit water thermistor out of range but it only did it once but assume this is due to the cold water temperature? Any ideas what the issue is before I have to shell out of a new unit. Thanks
