Our planned new summerhouse is to have underfloor heating.  We can extend the cabling from the house to the new summerhouse 2 metres away.  We may also power lighting and a TV from this source.

If we want a display showing how much energy each of these 3 (heating, lighting, TV) is using, where can we buy meters to do this?

I've tried the 'contact us' email link on the Friends of the Earth website (and have sent 2 follow-up emails in the fortnight since an automatic reply arrived saying email us again if you don't get a swift reply) but as am yet no wiser on this topic.

There are lots of options around, this place has a reasonable selection: https://smartgreenshop.co.uk/index.php/energy-monitors/home-energy-monitors.html

Some energy suppliers used to give these away at one time, so you may be able to find one that way (pity, I threw one of these free ones out when we moved house recently).

If you wish to monitor individual appliances, then a plug-in monitor might be more useful.  I have a couple of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/energenie-ener007-energy-saving-power-meter-socket/3477h that seem to work pretty well.

A fan heater may be simplest and cheapest. Underfloor may take too long to heat up. Don't concern yourself re: lighting and TV running costs (if they are newish) as the heating will be many times these.
