We are looking to submit our claim for VAT. It says we need to submit planning permission and detailed plans, but I'm just a bit unclear on what exact documents this means? Do we need to sned them the entire planning application, or just the decision letter granting the permission?
And when it says to submit plans that have been approved by the local authority, does it meant just the detailed plans that were submitted with the application, or do we also need to submit the building reg drawings? Or is it just the latter set of drawings? Thanks for any help on this!

Planning decision notice and general drawings, I sent floor plans and elevations. They just need something to verify that you have permission and rough scale of the development.

The formal grant of planning permission includes a copy of the drawings that they approved. They want a copy of both the letter and the drawings.

Doesn't need to be the original. We sent photocopies.

Did you also submit the building reg drawings, or just the planning drawings?
Our permission letter doesn't have any drawings on it. So we can either submit the planning drawings or the building control plans, I'm just unsure which they want.

We did but I think in theory you can build a house without full plans under a Building Notice - so I'm not sure if they can insist on them?

Your permission letter will almost certainly have a condition requiring you build the house to the approved drawings. In the past you had to submit three copies and they stamped one set and sent them back with the letter.  You can probably download a set marked approved from the planning portal if you don't have them.
