Jon_S Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 Hello Newbie to the site and looking for a bit of help/ guidance. Im currently refurbing my en suite, which involves the relocation of a radiator. I’ve drained the system (gravity fed) & relocated the pipes. Refilled the system, all rads working except downstairs lounge (most prob furthest from cylinder) Ive tried all the usual stuff, bleeding, balancing but no joy. Lockshield & TRV all ok. Points to note- There is no rad currently connected to the relocated pipes in the en suite & the un functioning rad (perhaps coincidentally ?) is the point where I drained the system from. Any ideas?! With thanks

With a missing radiator not sure how you rebalanced the system, depending on it's plumbed, suspect you have simply cut the flow to the radiator that doesn't work. 1
Nickfromwales Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 Where the rad is missing, you need to bleed the air out of those tails. If the problem then persists, turn the TRV of EVERY other rad 100% off and leave the rad not working 100% on, and run for 30 mins. Once (if) you see heat getting to the lazy rad, then open the rest of the TRVs back up and put the telly on. 1 1
Jon_S Posted November 7, 2025 Author Posted November 7, 2025 Thanks @Nickfromwales. Turning all other TRV’s off has done the trick 👍🏻
