devm Posted Tuesday at 17:59 Posted Tuesday at 17:59 Hi, can anyone advise on where I can adjust the flow rate on a NuHeat UFH system? The system dates back to 2007/2008. Twisting the white marked plastic on the flow rail does not do anything and the there does not seem to be any other adjustment under this except the brass nut (which I guess is for taking the flow rate meter off). There is a square nut on the return rail under the actuator (as shown in the photo). A radiator bleed key fits this and it turns but the marker on the flow rate meter does not move. Is this the right place to make the adjustment and is the flow rate meter not moving because they are all stuck? Thanks in advance.
MikeGrahamT21 Posted yesterday at 09:39 Posted yesterday at 09:39 You shouldn't need to change the flow rate, thats what the actuators are for. I don't have actuators on my manifold, and have to turn the clear plastic tube to alter the flow rate, but yours definitely don't look like mine. Probably worth a call to nuheat, or see if they've a manual online?
JohnMo Posted yesterday at 09:57 Posted yesterday at 09:57 Looking at you image I suspect the flow meter is stuck, after being switch off for the summer - are the rooms getting to temperature? If so I wouldn't fiddle, does it matter if it's displaying the correct number or nor? Believe you use the brass square part to adjust flow, but once commissioned shouldn't be touched again.
devm Posted yesterday at 19:06 Author Posted yesterday at 19:06 Great thanks. I will carefully play around with the brass square bit to see if it makes a difference. Reason for needing to do so is that a couple of rooms are cooler than we would like.
John Carroll Posted yesterday at 19:18 Posted yesterday at 19:18 Can you press (Newheat) pins down to see if they spring back up?, which is I presume what they should do, is the manifold circ pump running?.
