Mubbashshir Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago The bathroom tiling is now complete. The only issue is that I used Mapei Flexible Grout instead of Ultracolor Plus. The tiler has offered to apply silicone on the shower side, but I was advised against it, as silicone could trap moisture, reduce ventilation, and lead to mould. I’ve also heard that caulk isn’t a good solution either. Kindly advise what is the best solution There is a big thick grout line between shower 🚿 tray and tile . It may be a place for mould in the future. Can we cover it with something asap(Ii have marked it with orange color in picture. Also the tiler did not put steel trim on the top where the tiiling finished. Its almost tiled till the ceiling

Mould will affect the grout as well if your ventilation isn't adequate. Do a proper job, overall, and that includes correct ventilation. A simple dMEV fan and your ventilation is sorted. A Greenwood CV2 (£50 on eBay) or CV3, job done.
