Hello

I'm converting my loft space and need to redirect an existing SVP due to the new dormers and rooflights, which will all be opening so the vent needs to terminate 900mm above these openings.  In order to achieve this, I would need to introduce two sharp turns into the 'dry' part of the stack.  There are no new bathrooms, ensuites proposed within the converted loft so the original 'wet' part of the SVP remains unchanged.  Unfortunately, I can't take the SVP up the other side of the rooflight as Building Control would not accept any restriction on the headroom in this area.

A little unconventional, but if I can achieve this it would be great.  Would welcome any thoughts.

Delete it and put an AAV on that stack.

There’s a deviation you can call upon, if your BCO is amenable, for 1:5 or 1:10 rule, where if you have neighbouring properties which all vent the network to atmosphere, then you can be given a green light to not have to also vent the network.

The SVP isn’t for you, it’s to vent the network btw.

That's a nugget! How did you find that out?
