Pebbledash render repair

I have a small section of a external wall where the pebbledash has come off. What is the easiest way to repair this ? What is the mix for pebbledash render ? can I mix the pebbles directly with the mortar mix for the repair ? or does is need to be dashed on top of the render as they do for a whole wall ?

I am a new to rendering so would appreciate any advice on this.

It appears to be ‘blown’, eg the surrounding render / dash is all

likely going to need to be taken back to something solid, as restoring that (without trusting the issue) will just lead to it failing again. 
 

Issue is, when rain gets in to the cracks etc and it freezes, further blowing the render.

Thanks Nick, do you know the mix for a pebble dash render ? Can I mix the pebbles with the mortar or does it need to be dashed on top ?
