G98 help with self certification

In theory the only legitimate answers are Building Control or a part P spark but some DNOs do accept self installed;)

Ah - then you know who the installer was and you can pop the name on the paperwork or have I missed something. Usually at that stage they ask you to upload the commissioning certificate within a given timeframe.

I think the dilemma is whether you can put self installed which Roger wants to do

Thats correct. Specifically the qualifications/credentials of said installer. Which, as its me, the correct answer is none, beyond 16th edition from 1990.

 

And can confirm its a question on the G98 form. Mandatory field.

I know for a fact that at least one DNO has accepted self installed and N/A for qualifications on both G98 and G99 commissioning docs.

 

G98 is a notification and I truly belive any DNO will appreciate receiving them regardless of the installers details
