Pocster Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) So … On this camera which has a ‘fly lead ‘ rj45 I could encase the connection in a blue gel box . Hasn’t failed yet I’ve got a mesh extender outside always having issues with the physical connection. If I wipe with my fingers all good again . Tried sprays and it’s in a water proof box but the atmosphere is causing problems . Only possible solution I can think of is scoop the gel out of one blue boxes and force it in the rj45 socket - then plug the cable in . If this extender had a fly lead I’m guessing there would be no issue . Any better suggestions ? Edited February 25 by Pocster
Pocster Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Thanks for all the replies . I’ve bought another blue electrical gel box . I’ll scoop the stuff out and stick it in the rj45 connector - see what happens
Super_Paulie Posted February 28 Posted February 28 😆 I looked at the post, realized i had no better alternative to what you had already done. Thought either a) hole in the bottom of the box to exposed air to atmosphere or b) silica gel in the box. Neither would work id imagine. 1

Marvin Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) Hi @Pocster Er... No one wants to look at your photos in case their of, or eluding to, an abnormal anatomical subject matter. Especially when you write about gel. M Edited February 28 by Marvin minor change. 1
Pocster Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 I stuffed the hole full of my scooped out gloop . Will see what happens . I also attempted to fix my rj45 issue .
