Post and beam Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I need to make a penetration out through the Utility wall for the sink and washing machine waste water. Is there any regulation on the height above floor level it needs to be please?
Marvin Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) NEVER a silly question, unless you don't ask it... Yes and no. Above external DPC or below. Never through DPC (assuming masonry external wall) As long as there is a fall of at least 1 in 40 on any horizontal pipework inside and outside towards what it drains into. My recommendations: Make all bends after first one from sink swept bends (first one swept or elbow) and where the pipe comes out of the wall the first swept bend silicone on so it can be removed if required in the future. Good luck. M Edited February 10 by Marvin further thought 1

I thought I’d just underline that point. 🙂 Questions might get ignored, but you will regret not asking. The whole premise of the forum is a place where people can discuss the topic of house building.
