just bought a new property and in the processes of doing it up. Old owners had removed the chimney and looks like they had a go at repairing the area. Roof is made up of rosemary tiles i have been quoted around the £1000 mark with also includes adding in a tile for the boiler flue but also been told if its not leaking then dont worry. Any advice would be appreciated, attached a photo of damaged area. Thanks in advanceIMG_1130.thumb.png.02f045a69e7718cb012f815cdb737648.png

Leaving out the tiling of the hole created in the roof for now, I am more concerned at that pile of brickwork on the left, and that rather inadequate timber "prop" sitting on top of it.  Can we see more detail of what that brickwork is and what state it has been left in?

The actual roof tiling bit apart from the felt does not look too bad, what does it look like from outside?

The pile of brickwork is the old chimney that was removed and they have just used a random bit of wood as a strut by the looks of it. Ive added a photo of the best image i have of the outside tiled area along with the opposite side of the loft which it should be looking like. Should also add this is a bugalow just incase it matters

See this diagonal support on the good side of the roof:

You need to replicate that as near as you can on the side where the chimney used to be, then discard the inadequate prop.

If you don't feel up to doing that yourself it would be a simple job for a joiner.
