Site Insurance.....3's a Party

Recommended Posts

Reposting, as realise original title not too informative!

"We need site insurance as well as a warranty.  So I went and got quotes from Protek, SelfBuildZone and BuildStore, only to discover that the SelfBuildZone and Buildstore appear to be the same company giving the same quote.  Sigh.

So folks, who should I get a third quote from?  We've both party wall agreements and demolition in the mix."

We’ve used Protec for our last two builds Site insurance Protec for our first warranty Not worth the paper that it’s printed on But we new we would be selling

This time round Weve used a professional certificate half the price Will do the same thing if we need or want to sell at some stage

We had a Proaktive Self Build Policy by Aviva, arrange by local insurance broker Sam at P F Spare Insurance Brokers - Leicestershire based Brokers of Personal and Commercial Insurance since 1962

Make sure you get the estimated cost right, and add some, as changing this later can be costly.

We excluded tools and equipment based on the fact, any hired equipment would include insurance, subby's equipment would be covered by their own insurance.

Thank you.  Protek are in pole position re site insurance.

Wading through the warranty documentation is next week’s job (I know how to live it up at Christmas lol)
