Thorfun
I want to fix something to our Evalon VSK covered flat roof using CT1. I asked Alwitra technical and the response was (paraphrasing) “we haven’t tested with that product. Although we don’t anticipate any issues we can’t say it’s safe to use” so basically arse covering. anyone got any thoughts on whether CT1 will compromise my roof covering? Nick Laslett
@Thorfun, I prefer OB1, but I believe that CT1 is the precursor product. I have a Sika Trocal PVC based membrane on my flat roof. My roofer used OB1 to fix the up-stand of the Trocal Membrane to the slate roof tile. My roof has been on since March 2022, no issues so far. Looking at the specs, OB1 works with PVC and I believe Alwitra is also PVC based like Trocal.
Andehh
I also used Ob1 to temp seal around our sika roof to the MVHR ducts that went up through the roof, before they sleeved it. Worked fine for the weeks I saw it before it was sleeved over.
