Flue flash on plain clay tiles

I am in the process of building an outdoor kitchen, we have an oak structure with a plain clay tile roof. I bought twin lined flues for the pizza oven and the open fireplace, we got sent flashing with a silicone middle and some lead'ish surround. Photo attached. What is the best way to install this, lift the tiles and put this on the battens on slide it in under the tiles at the top and let the rest of it sit on the clay tiles, obviously siliconed down. I have fitted the open fireplace flue this weekend, but I am not convinced it will not leak. Photo attached.

Yeah something like that - you're just ensuring that any water runs off. Usually no need to hold down, just do something subtle with a leadworkers mallet.

 

Re the flue - you don't say which make it is, but they usually clip together with an airtight seal, very simple. Check the stove instructions - the outlet is usually sealed to the flue with rope and special 'rope glue' e.g.

A CO monitor, smoke test etc and you're done. This kind of work is notifiable to BC if it's not done by a hetas person.

Thanks for your reply, sorry I should have been clearer in my question, as my question only relates to the flue flash which I have seen some people let the flash sit on top of the tiles rather than on the roofing batons, I was just wondering which way professionals would install this. Regarding the flue, the flue with the cowl is already in place and it is once of those that clip together.

the flashing is really a soaker so should be below the tiles and extend a min on 150 under them.
