Trenches/Concrete

Hi,

 

I have dug out the trenches for my single storey extension  it  rained heavily over night. I should have protected them......The water has drained away over the last  day but the soil is wet. Do I need to dig down further prior to casting the concrete?

Being wet isn't a problem, if that's what you mean.

The bottom of the tench should be firm and free of sludge... You might need to get a shovel out and do a bit of scraping. But not likely after a night of rain.

just make sure not too much water is left in the trench, BCO dont like too much as it weakens the conc.
