Am I overthinking it please?

Some advice on the detail of the sole plate please BH.

 

Our detail is as below. I wonder if I need to add a strip of butyl tape (yellow highlight) around the perimeter of the house under the DCP, around the edge of the concrete?

(to stop any water that does make its way under, from entering the house)

 

some photos below of a MBC build doesn't seem to include it.

No,that's what the DPM if there to do. Keep moisture in the slab.

 

Btw, those your site photos? I thought it is normal practice to use treated timber for the sole plate?,

No not from my place, was an example i found of someone elses PH.

 

We did exactly this, DPM on slab. Sole plate atop. Warranty instector was happy.
