squealeyhealey
Does anybody have any experience of installing Ergovent Rondo invisible ceiling air valves. Instructions state to fit flush with plaster board and skim over board & end of vent and creation a curved edge into recess of valve, My plasterer doesn't want to do this as he's concerned that it will crack between valve and board! Looking at images they look more suited to dry lining, than plaster on plasterboard. Curved edge and recess, could look naff.
Mr Punter
£60 for an air vent and it looks a pain to fit. I would want to see them fitted and chat to the plasterer who did it before committing.
G and J
Why need it be any different than a join in plasterboard? Especially if both sides are firmly supported and the same technique is applied to the edge of the vent as the normal pb joins? I imagine getting a nice sharp edge on the circle might be more challenging.
