Does UFH need to be on if laying engineered wood?

Recommended Posts

There are inevitable delays with our ASHP install which means our floor, which was up to temp by using our temporary electric boiler (which is now off line), is now cooling down. Our engineered oak parquet is due to go down next week and I can't get a straight answer from anyone whether this should be delayed until the ASHP is up and running and the floor warm again - thoughts?

You need the floor cool before glueing the floor covering down. Do heating should have been off a day or two before. But you need to check the screed humidity prior to doing the floor, to make sure it's below the allowable limit set by the parquet manufacturer.
