sergiu Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 What's the best solution here? My gutter is sloped the wrong way. 25mm over 4,5 metres. My idea was to add a layer of felt or some self leveling compound Liquid rubber ' inside the gutter to correct the slope would work? If yes what's the best? Many thanks
Andehh Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I wonder if you could do it in a series of steps to encourage the water down the right direction? Not sure how you would create a reliable fall in one direction?
BotusBuild Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 If that is all lead lined, I would consider getting it lifted, and adding the necessary packing to create the correct fall, and then re-install the leading.
joe90 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Lead gutters should be stepped to allow for expansion, I forget the distance allowed per sheet however the first picture looks like GRP on the bottom but not up the side ?..
sergiu Posted February 8, 2024 Author Posted February 8, 2024 If it helps it is not lead lined. Looks like gpr at the bottom and cromapool or acripool sealant.
kandgmitchell Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Trouble is by lifting the base to fall the proper way and then lining it with say a single ply membrane you'll have to take the slates off the mansard in order to get behind them and form an upstand. It may interfere with the window cill level as well. Where is the current outlet?
