Heat pump ready cylinders, are Vaillants small coil good enough?

Thanks @Bramco. Might look into Cool Energy then as the £7.5k grant is quite a disincentive to self-install if it cannot be claimed (with a self-install). My understanding is the grant is only available with an MCS approved install. Seems there is a firm that will do the MCS paperwork for a self-install for about £1.5k so that could be an alternative option.

@MoDo  That seems lower than the uplifts I seemed to be getting on quotes, although it's hard to work out from a quote. Maybe a way forward.  Wonder if there's someone that would do the MCS for a battery install - a lot simpler as there's no heat loss calcs. Can you share the name of the folks that would do it for an ASHP?

I’ve got the 1m2 vaillant cylinder… 9kW heat pump with a pwm pump driving into it. Works perfectly and recovers fast.

do you mean a 1m2 primary heating coil? with a pump to increase the flow through coil? what l/m pump did you decide on
