gunzy
Hi everyone, I'm new here, nice to meet you all. I'm no builder but I'd describe myself as handy and I love getting stuck in with DIY projects. I've recently been thinking about adding more solar panels to my existing system and was considering trying to do it myself to save money. I've read up on it here: [link deleted: please don't post commercial links until you've established a reputation on BuildHub] though, and it sounds like it might not be as simple as I first anticipated (I guessed it would be just be a case of connecting more panels but it seems like there's more to it than that). I'm still thinking of going for it though and was wondering if anyone here has any experience/tips etc? Am I at risk of busting my existing solar system/panels if something goes wrong? Cheers, Gunzy

SteamyTea
Welcome. There are 3 main things to consider (4 if you consider safety). Will it affect any Fit payments. Will you need a new inverter. Will your DNO need notification for the increased generation capacity.
