Hi all 

I wonder if anyone can help me please 

 

I have a builders temp box  with live electric in it . when finished the site do i have to get uk power network back to install a mains from the temp box  to a premament  box or can i get a company that can move it due to being on private ground .

1. Yes, the supply will need to be extended by the network operator to the permanent meter box in your house. The meter will also have to be moved, this is done by the electric provider.

2. BUT... You .might be able to keep the meter in the box as the permanent installation, and run your own cable from the main fuse I side you your co sumer unit.

This is a really common question and discussed a lot on here with a few very good threads on it. Do a search. Lots of us have made our temp box the permanent box for example as it’s a cost effective way to do it. You obviously need to build your temp box as a permanent installation though.
