JohnBishop Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) Hi All, Where can I source joists hangers? To be precise I need something like hurricane brackets so the joists go over not hang. I want the roof to be bigger than the actual building - a wooden shed. https://www.buildersmetalwork.com/blog/how_to_choose_the_right_joisthangers.html Please advise. Best regards Edited October 16, 2023 by JohnBishop

Russell griffiths Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Cannot see anything in that video that isn’t available almost everywhere, are you talking about a truss clip, this sits under a truss and nails in the side. Or there’s something called a triple grip, this nails to the side of a joist and down to a wall plate. Do a pic of what hat you want to do. 1

In this video the man has mounted joists using angle brackets which is also fine I think.
