JennyF
Hi We are about to break ground (at last) and have a Project Manager lined up. He will be on site 2-3 days per week, line up the sub contractors etc. Just wondering if any one out there has/had a 1 page agreement with their PM regarding responsibility for H&S on site, insurance cover and ensuring that all sub contractors on site have insurance cover etc. that they might be willing to share. Many thanks in advance. Excited and terrified in equal measure.
nod
No experience of a project manager But if your paying him to do this He should run things like a larger site Land on site Bring your CSCS card and a copy of your public liability and check that they have there own PPE Getting contractors to follow HSE on a one off build is difficult
Conor
He should and know all this, if he doesn't then he's not up to the job. Has he discussed any of these with you? As the client / owner you'll need to sort your own insurance.
JennyF
yes, he has discussed it but we are keen to get it down on paper - do you think that is necessary? We are looking into our own insurance too.
Conor
Put everything down on paper, especially if he's assuming H&S roles and responsibilities.
