Aco drain at start of surface water run

I'm just looking at drainage now. At the start of my surface water run is an ACO along the edge of my patio.  Would it be a good idea to put something like a back inlet gully in just after this to catch any silt from the patio area ? I've looked at silt traps but these are mega expensive.
