VAT Reclaim form VAT431NB - Fit out of a building shell??

Hi All,

We are finally in a position to submit our VAT reclaim, we really need the money in to finish off although i am well aware of the hidious backlog in processing dates!

 

However, I have fallen at the 1st hurdle, Question 10 on the VAT431NB form:

 

Is your claim for the fit out and finish of a building shell? YES/NO 

(if you've answered no to questions 9 or 10 you will not be eligible to claim)

 

Our answer to this question is NO, as we have self built the whole property and not bought the shell from a developer... is there a different form which i need to complete? If not i am very confused what to answer as we want to reclaim the VAT on the stone used for building the shell and windows, doors etc.

 

Any help is much appreciated!

As written, to me, it seems that you have new built a house. Therefore....

Welcome to forum, the form shows "and" and you wrote "or".
