Outdoor Toilet Blocks

Hi folks, I'm building a toilet block about 2x3 metres. We wanted to save the pennies on this one and went with standard 63mmx38mm CLS for the framing.

However, I'm now wondering if this was silly, and I should have picked up some 3x2 C16 instead?

It'll be supporting one large UPVC window on one side, and another smaller one on the opposite side, also looks like I'll have to double up the CLS on these walls to accommodate them.

I've also doubled up on the roof rafters for more strength. Roof will have 40mm PIR and felted.

So I'm now actually considering pulling the whole thing down and redoing it with the larger C16?

But could I just get away with the smaller CLS and just double up on lengths here and there, like I've been doing...?

Thanks for your thoughts

They're 40mm centres, with a couple of odd centres to make up for the bespoke length/depth of the unit.

I've doubled up on the CLS at potential stress points or where they need to span longer than a metre, like the roof overhang.

I'll also double up around windows and door.

This is for regular guest use.
