Independent Window Surveyor

Hello! This is my first post and am hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction to get an independent window surveyor (or provide us expertise) that can write up a report for a replacement bow window that we have had supplied and partially installed by what we hoped would be a reputable company.

After the installation started it was noticed that what was being delivered and installed did not match what we had believed we would be getting. We approved and signed off the survey notes and purchase agreement but, the windows received were not the size quoted in our purchase agreement or even the same size as what they were replacing. A few other issues also arose with details of how they would be making good (contrary to the notes made by the surveyor and agreed to) and are now of the opinion that the only way that we can get sense applied to our situation is to employ an independent surveyor who knows the window supply and install world.

We are still in discussion with them about these issues but we do need to have in our possession the correct information to challenge their responses should we feel that we are being misled in any way.

If anyone has experienced a like situation and can advise me I'd be very grateful. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks. We're Southeast of London. I didn't think of that. I'm mindful that the offending company could get out of it as it would be someone employed for the opposition providing the advice which is why I was hoping for someone independent but, you're right. Maybe I could look there.

Sadly, I agree and it shouldn't have to be this hard. I want what they quoted me for... a like for like replacement of my existing (faulty) bow with the stipulations laid out as per their survey and purchase agreement which I signed. I want what I started with.... a window equally sized as the one they removed with a new window board shelf and a smooth, inset plastered wall all around the sides and head that I can paint to match my room and re-hang my wooden blinds. Which is what I had before.
