John OMalley
Hi all, I’ve tried to research this online this eve but can’t find anything definitive. Has anyone had experience of extending a roof, in the same plane with a different brand of tile? The existing roof is Redland 50’s I think they were originally antique red and I’d like to use Marley double romans in dark red due to availability issues. I thought it was just a very slight length difference between them but just seen something online saying interlocks are not compatible. It’s only 8 horizontal rows from ridge to eaves where the two brands clash but don’t want a leaded join. Anyone ever done similar I’d appreciate your thoughts. Cheers john
makie
It's not a good idea. Either get the correct tile, do the full roof or put a join in.
John OMalley
Cheers, if I wasn’t struggling with the second part I would.
