Polished concrete - timelines in your own experience

Hi,

 

We're lining up our floors to be polished closer to the end of November in-which the area is approx 220m2.

 

I know it's a variable quotation, as you could have more than one person polishing and a different area to me but what I was wondering how long did it take for your floors to be polished, how many polishers and your area?

 

Just trying to get an idea to help make better judgements on lining up work before and after the polishing.

Just the polishing process?

 

We had a two man team in (after their colleagues laid the concrete a few days before) and it didn't take them a full day.

 

They did around 160 m², although the studwork was in place, so there was a lot more faffing about than if it was just a single slab.

Yea, it's just the polishing process.  The concrete has been laid and has been sitting from the end of August.

Our contractor thinks it will take longer but the polisher says different.

 

Just trying to get everything lined up so we can move in for Christmas.

I'd generally take the specialist's opinion over that of your contractor, unless your contractor has a lot of experience working with polished concrete.

This is all they do, and they work out a price based on estimated time. I expect them to be good at it and as quick as they say.
