boarding over Illbruck ME508 window membrane?

I am using Illbruck ME508 duo airtight window membrane tape and have been told that you can not dot n dab on to membrane only wet plaster. Any one got experience of similar and how to fix boarding over Illbruck ME508.

 Yes - use instead of dot and dab and it’s great for surfaces such as wood and tape and that sort of thing
