Austrian
Hello all. I'm a fairly keen DIYer and I have a house in Austria. They do things a bit differently there so I'll probably be asking for help on here now and then! I've gotten into home automation quite a bit in recent years. I monitor and control my house using Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi (I can control lights, heating - including coming on/going off when we leave/return to the house - and see what's happening whenever I want.) Treat me gently!

SteamyTea
Welcome. Will be interesting to see the difference in building methods and standards. (I got a speeding ticket in Austria, never paid it, did not have enough shillings left, it was a while back) Edited September 18, 2022 by SteamyTea 1
Adrian Walker
Welcome. Home Automation is a get time and energy saver, keeping it simple is good idea and any Raspberry Pi perfect for many tasks as you say.
