Sharon1
Workmen installing log burner repaired cracked chimney dropping wet cement onto newly installed conservatory with self cleaning glass. Noticed hour later and tried hosing but bits stuck. Their sales rep arrived and tried jet washing 😕. Bits still stuck like a pebble dash of rice size specks. Can’t reach this part of roof. I’m worried that cement and jet washing may have spoilt self cleaning properties and how can bits of cement be removed as inaccessible by hand. Looks horrible looking up from inside. Peed off it wasn’t hosed as soon as it happened. Any advice/reassurance?
craig
Up to the contractor to put right, happens far to often and a bit of a nightmare to remove. Cheaper for them to replace the glass and put it down to experience. Edited September 17, 2022 by craig
nod
Exactly the same as if they had drop a hammer through it Should have covered it Two choices They have to claim off there public liability insurance Or stand the cost of replacing the glass themselves
