Hello,

Odd for me to join a self build forum. I've been doing it for a living since 1990

But a small firm specialising in renovation work to old listed buildings.

I'm just setting out to get planning for a modern insulated house, for myself; having lived in an old stone house for 30 years.

Hoping to learn about insulated raft foundations, air source underfloor heating and triple glazing!

Not sure we're quite ready for full 'Passivhaus' but I'm very keen to aim for 'cheap to run'
