LG Therma V settings questions

Hi All,

 

first post here so go easy on me, i

hope to share my recent ASHP findings and help others!

 

I’ve recently had a LG Therma V installed with a new hot water cylinder with integral buffer tank, all pre plumbed. 
 

system works well but is the settings that’s I’m getting into trouble with. 
 

for DHW the default setting is 50 degrees. I’ve managed to get into the installer mode and raise this to 55 degrees and raise this in the owner side of the settings. However this defaults back to 50 so never reaches 55 unless I manually push it to 55?? 
 

any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Question is why do you need it at 55.  Many other on here operate the cylinder at 47/48, with no issue.  That way you get a better CoP.

 

Other that no idea how you change the settings.

I agree, you don't need it at 55 C do you?  But to answer the question:

 

Are you sure you're not fighting a programmed schedule?  If you have any DHW heating program scheduled you can only change the temperature (or turn off the DHW heating) for the duration of the scheduled period.

How do you find the LG Therma V in terms of noise, Paul?
