ADringer Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Hi all, My screed went down last Friday and I just realised that no edge insulation was put down first. I assume this is very important? Should I get the builders to dig out the edges to put it in whilst it's still drying? Thanks
jayc89 Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Do you have UFH in the screed? A lot of heat will be lost through the wall if you do. Was perimeter insulation previously agreed to between you and your contractor? If yes to both, I'd be getting it made right.

It was part of the wunda design and we did get the insulation delivered as part of the wunda order. Cool, I'll be having that chat this morning!
nod Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 More than the heat loss You need to have an expansion joint around the walls to allow the screed to move
