I am looking at getting a structural warranty for the property I am developing and I'm wondering if anyone had any experience with www.buildwarranty.co.uk?

Hi Joanna,

 

I ended up going with Build Zone in the end. They were competitively priced and also seemed to have a good reputation so it made sense.

 

I am building this house to sell so I opted for a full structural warranty rather than a Professional Consultants Certificate. I think whoever eventually opts to buy this house they will want that assurance. If I was building it for myself though I think I may well go for the PCC to save some money.

Done my last few schemes with Buildzone - they are pretty good.  When I did my selfbuild as part of a larger scheme I was surprised at how much cheaper the SB was compared to the spec plots.  Mind you - I have built up a top rating with them so that may have had an impact.  The SB warranty was £1800 for a 3300 sq. ft. house.

Hi, my parents went with Advantage for build warranty for their selfbuild.  https://ahci.co.uk/new-build-warranty/

The people at Advantage were really helpful and they helped my father in-law so much but I think it was the same price as buildzone but they seems more helpful.
