idiot question (!) but a had a replacement outdoor tap fitted but my hose connector doesn't fit it anymore. Is there a quick release connector available / adapter or are you meant to just bung the raw 1/2" hose end onto this tap for it to work? Thanks!

Ignore! I went to screwfix but couldn't figure out how to attach what they gave me until I read the Q&A. You unscrew the fitting and replace it with something like "HOZELOCK BRASS THREADED OUTDOOR TAP CONNECTOR (95018)" and you're done! Can attach my old hose now!

...or just dip the hose end in hot water / warm up with a heat gun, push it on and secure with a jubilee clip
