Hello

I’ve got a balcony floor that I need to waterproof. It’s above some bedrooms

we have a beam and block floor, then a rubber membrane then 100mm fibre screed

since the screed has gone down we’ve started to Get leaks inside the house we believe the rubber membrane has been pierced when the screed went down as we had no leaks for the 8 weeks that the rubber membrane was down pre screed.

we are looking for advice on any products for waterproofing the screed based on past use / experience

any advice recommendations welcome

thanks for you help

Thanks Markc

yes we’re tiling on top - planning to have an anti fracture Mat then S1 grade adhesive and 10mm porcelain tiles.
Do you have any advice on brands of liquid tanking

thanks again

Buried, or podium, roof is never a good idea unless specialist advice taken. Any insulation involved (it’s a roof!)?

Also potentially massive thermal bridge as roof slab becomes internal floor slab.

Cheers ADLan- its ia purpose built balcony over a bedroom - beam and block, Celotex insulation (above what was specced for additional thermal value), rubber membrane that got damaged, and then fibre screed. We are looking at a solution that doesnt involve ripping of 100m2 of screed plus a new membrane. Oh the joys!
