Nevvie
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I'll ask anyway. I want to upgrade my aquarium but I'm not sure my floor is strong enough. The aquarium would be about 5x2x2 feet, and the total weight would be around 1400Ib's. I live in a first floor flat, built in the 70's, with a concrete floor. The aquarium would be against an outer wall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Nev
Bonner
Impossible to be 100% certain but should be okay. I would use the wall to partially support the weight and make sure the floor load is distributed evenly across the footprint of the tank stand (no point loading).
SteamyTea
You need to be on the ground floor.
