Jon82
Hi guys I'm new hear and have a question. As you can see in the pic I have nearly finished my timber garden room it's 24sqm internal 2.5m high. On 1 boundary side it is only 850mm from the boundary now I know I need to move the wall in a bit so that I won't need building regs. Hears the thing there will be overhang on the roof of 300mm as i don't intend on altering the roof that means the roof wiil be approximately 800mm from the boundary and the wall will be over 1000mm can anyone tell me if that's OK or does the roof need to be 1m from boundary as well? Onoff
Can't you look at cladding that wall in a non combustible material like cement board cladding? Think that gets around it?
Jon82
That's exactly what I was planning to do and I looks good but when I contacted the local council to ask them they said its that simple. They weren't very helpfull. Think I might just have to bite the bullet and pay them £550 to come round and take a look and advise me😬
CharlieKLP
I never count the roof overhang, so far I’ve got away with it but I don’t technically know if it’s ok.
