10% on insulation with another rise set for June 

10 on steel 

I called in to my friends steel yard 

He ordered ours and said he will store till we are ready 

Something he couldn’t have done previously His yard has tow after row of empty racks 

 

Even speedy hire are charging me £10 delivery after 25 years of free delivery and collection

 

Personally I think site work will slow dramatically over the next few months 

With lenders starting to get nervous

I know of several smaller developments of 30 or 40 houses that have been mothballed  in the last 3 or 4 weeks.

 

It's unsustainable at the current pace.

Yes we have had a development of 40 homes near us that have gone into administration 

Many builders are going to struggle with the interest for the bounce back loans kicking in this month

Yeah it kinda needs to "POP" to reset it to some sort of normality. I've talked to alot of the larger companies and given the lower debt levels compared with 08 they aren't that worried about a pop as the don't see it as a long term thing but there will be an awful lot of "new" subbies that won't see it out if it comes, mind you if it continues the way its going you'll see new and old either stop trading or go bust
